The Chakras

This series of classes takes you on a journey of each chakra, it's characteristics and energy, and gives you insight on where your imbalances are, and where you're in alignment. An absolute favourite with members.

  • 3rd chakra yin

    A combination of engagement and release this yin class will bring awareness to the stomach and lumbar spine. Starting with a beautiful standing awareness/visualisation, followed by a dropping into the mat for some yummy yin-ness.

  • 2nd Chakra Yin

    This is a hip focused class to honour the 2nd chakra, Svadisthana. Encouraging a sense of fluidity within each pose and allowing emotions and sensations to come and go.

  • 1st Chakra Yin yoga

    The first Yin Yoga class in my Chakra series. A grounding and nourishing class focussing on getting heavy but relaxed in the lower body and light in the upper body

  • 1st Chakra Vinyasa Flow

    This is a grounding flow. You will connect with your foundations and draw from earth energy. A really nourishing class that cultivates a sense of calm and ease.

    Props required: Blocks and a blanket

  • 2nd Chakra Barre

    Glutes glutes glutes! A big focus on glutes here by slowing movements down and using lots of repetition. A simple but strong class!

    Have a chair or similar handy to help if getting up and down from the floor is a challenge. A block or similar could be helpful towards the end

  • 2nd Chakra Vinyasa Flow

    A creative flow that explores the water element and fluid movements. Delve deep into your hips, pelvis and lower back and your second chakra, which is your centre for birthing creativity.

    Suggested props: A blanket and a block

  • 3rd Chakra Barre Class i.e. CORE!

    3rd chakra barre means CORE! Fire up the core with a standing sequence that really works into the obliques. A short plank and mat series with modifications using a soft-ball if you have one. Barre work is a little different with a pure core focus and finishing on the mat with you guessed it, CORE...

  • 3rd Chakra Vinyasa Flow

    Start with savasana and breathwork into the belly, followed by a little taste of abdominal work leading into sun salutations. Our main flow ignites a bit of fire with crow pose, side plank and boat pose. Some backends sprinkled in and a nice wind-down into savasana.

  • 4th Chakra Yin Yoga - Heart Chakra

    Anahata the fourth chakra is the bridge where our inner and outer worlds converge. Its energetic job is to help love unconditionally, both ourselves and others.   • 4th Chakra Vinyasa Flow - Heart Chakra

    A 45-minute sequence that explores the dwelling of the heart. The thoracic region, including the arms and hands, will all get some love. Sun salutations, variations of half-moon and warrior poses.

    Props suggested: 2 blocks

  • 5th Chakra (throat) - Yin Yoga

    This class is focussing on the neck with some specific stretches, along with inversions to shift awareness and blood to the neck and head. Still a lovely balanced practice for your body. Get your props handy to give you as much support as possible

  • 5th Chakra - Vinyasa flow

    A 50-minute flow class. We move through familiar poses but shift the focus to open up the face, throat, and collarbones. There is strength and power in slowing down and moving from deep within. This is what you'll experience here.

  • 6th Chakra Yin Yoga - 3rd Eye Chakra

    Some lovely restorative poses. Bringing awareness to the 6th chakra area as well as balancing the body. Some stomach poses, standing forward fold, twist over a bolster and more.

  • 6th Chakra Vinyasa / Hatha Flow - 3rd eye Chakra

    Close your eyes. Switch off from the distractions around you and flow. Listen in. A nice steady class with sun salutations, standing poses, twists, an opportunity for headstand and a nice stretch with a focus on bowing the head.

  • 7th Chakra Vinyasa Flow for the Crown

    Familiar poses and flow with awareness around the crown as we go.

  • A Very Special Yin Yoga Class for all the Chakras.

    One pose for each of the Chakras. Journey with me up through the Chakra system to end at the crown. I felt this class was very special and one that I'm sure you'll return to for a mini yin retreat.
